Tit Meat- Pencil on paper 6/13

Rough pencil crayon drawing based on a photoshop design. This is my continuing work inspired by the book 'The Sexual Politics Of Meat'.

Subtext in the film 'Leon The Proffessional'. Pedophile themes?-rought draft.

 I read a film article on the Luc Besson directed action film 'The Professional' known as 'Leon' in America.
The article linked to a jpeg of a section of the script that dealt with the relationship between Mathilda and Leon in which the two become lovers.

This scene was never filmed. But Luc Besson the director wrote the screenplay .
However if memory serves the film does have an uncomfortable relationship between the young girl and the Asperger like Leon.
With the man taking her to restaurants, giving her alcohol,

 sharing a bed. And having her sing 'Happy Birthday Mr President' to him in a Marilyn outfit with lipstick and make up. Marilyn famously sang this on stage to President Kennedy when they were in the midst of an affair.

 Or wearing adult underwear  with make up for Leon.

Mathilda even confides to a hotel clerk he is taking her upstairs to have sex in one scene.

The Americans cut all this out for fear it would effect ticket sales, this was only in the European version.

It's worth noting a few of the posters enlarge Portman, or shoot her at angles that make her look older. Look at the height difference between her and Jean Reno in this film still, versus the poster.

Portmans character has her ever present teddy bear throughout the posters and in many of the publicity shots.

What can be going on?
Her choker and silent movie star hair cut might provide some visual evidence. Leon supposedly loves old films, who can Mathilda look like?

Well, she could pass for Louise Brooks a famous silent movie star.

And what is with the plant symbol Leon carries around , it seems to mirror Mathildas Teddy Bear. They both dress alike, carry a visual security blanket. Many times Mathilda and Leon seem to be reflected in mirrored surfaces.

Reflective surfaces are often used in  more complex films to indicate repetition , internal thoughts visually reflected or duality. Is Mathilda a reflection of Leon?

I read director Besson had a relationship with a young girl (i will post more details) so that line of inquiry may prove enlightening.
I found out all Bessons girlfriends and juxtoposed their ages when Besson met them, his age at the time and when he dumped them. Like a lot of Hollywood rich men Besson likes his girlfriends to be no more than early two mid twenties, while he ages.

Lots of fans seem to identify with Mathilda. Fan art depicts her almost always post pubertal.

In any case, this is an extremely rough draft of an idea, and over the coming days i shall investigate further to see if there is anything in all this. I shall have to watch the film , since i only saw it once on the telly.

Straw Dogs:Rape depiction in films- work in progress.

Added the film Straw Dogs to my YT playlist and noticed one account holder had put an edit point in his comment, linked to the start of the infamous rape scene. It didn't shock me so much , that someone was advising others to masturbate to a violent rape, but it  was synchronous. The film, and a lot of Penkinpah's work opened up discussion on violence and censorship.

In Straw Dogs a young couple leave London for Cornwall, where the woman was brought up. Conflict with a group of local men end in a brutal rape and violence.

It was remade in 2011.
I have yet to see the remake and i saw the original years ago, so i shall re watch, and begin a discussion on this topic.

Too much too young?. edited 9/7/13

I was watching this video about the commercialisation of childhood and how marketing companies are targeting girls at younger and younger ages, promoting a much older lifestyle at them. 

This video shows very young girls in adult bathing costumes, the bikini being designed for a womans body past puberty. Should young girls be encouraged to wear bikinis?

While i don’t think its some pedophile conspiracy, i do think that greedy amoral marketing companies and the greedy amoral business behind it know a good thing when they spot it. And children are the least able to resist marketing , and their parents being targeted through the children through ‘pester power’.

Should young children particularly young girls be exposed to this level of marketing?

In the nordic countries advertisement is banned for young children, allowing them a level of childhood we don’t give them in the rest of the west. Of course they can connect to it through the internet, but not having it on television and in magazines seems to be a good thing.

Do you think these outfits are ‘too adult’?

 I placed various different ages  of swimwear and also the infamous cheeta bikini as created by actress Liz Hurleys fashion range, next to an adult model wearing a similar design.

What do people find disoncerting about a young child wearing a two piece swimwear?

I had a discussion with a philosopher who had done an article on Lewis Caroll, prompting me to inform him that Carroll or Dodgeson was a pedophile. This led me to make some art , just a rough sketch at first showing my modern day author trawling the internet for lonely young girls. I wanted to link the rumours about him with a modern context.
So i began to research Carroll really by typing 'Was Lewis Carroll a pedophile?' in to google , i thought there must be some academic research of some kind about this. I know there have been a few films and plays on this subject.

The most famous being 'Dreamchild' which actively suggested his interest in Alice was more than just a father daughter type friendship.

Well i came across this flikr account which had a few pics of alice as take by Carroll. We know that Carroll took thousands of photographs, a fair hundred of which were of young children in states of undress. Defenders of the Alice in Wonderland author say that this is simply 'The cult of the child' which was a victorian fascination with purity and innocence which tied in to gettng back to nature cults.

Anyway, the owner of the account said he had done some investigation in Carrolls background so i followed his link.

Which took me to his quite respectable looking blog.  He left another link on his blog to a site he said
called Carroll one of Englands most famous pedophiles.So i followed that link hoping for some kind of academic evidence, letters or something (We know the Through The Looking Glass authors family destroyed most of his letters and photographs after his death- by that time he was very famous).

glgarden.org...sounds normal right? The org suggested to me it was some kind of charity or a free knowledge site, maybe some kind of forum in which people can post book titles, links on the topic i wanted more info on.

Yup, gl-garden stands for  'girl love garden'. It is similar one assumes to NAMBLA or north american boy love association. In other words, it is a website devoted to the training of pedophiles.

The propoganda on their 'mission statement' immediately stopped me looking any further. I actually felt sick, because i was not expecting to encounter this.

The mission statement which i will paraphrase states they are believe abusing young girls is giving the girls democratic rights to engage in relationships with peverted older men.

I never went farther than the front page, but its a pedophiles 'how to'.

 It was disturbing to say the least to go from flikr to a wordpress blog to a website devoted to pedophiles, albeit one set up with some skill at camouflage.

I have addressed the issue of pedophiles and their actions online  on my blog.
